We are the generation that gets to pay for the excesses of our forefathers. We get to see the predicted dire consequences bear fruit and kill our children. We get to see the climate change our elders predicted in the seventies as the world climate measurably heats as we continue to add to the problem. We need to stop burning coal now especially because we produce so little in Oregon. It costs money to transport coal across the country to pollute the air we breath. Let Oregon cut its carbon emissions 87% by ceasing to burn coal.
