Draft Sixth Power Plan Comment

Att: Mr. Mark Walker, Director of Public Affairs Please adopt a regional power plan that emphasizes clean and green energy sources. Especially, make a truly meaningful effort to phase out coal thus reducing CO2 emissions. One way to do this is to emphasize energy efficiency and conservation. I trust you are applying for federal stimulus funding to help implement the phasing out of coal. Our region should not rely so heavily on coal: a dirty energy that contributes to environmental degradation, human illness, and global warming. Thank you for this opportunity to comment.
