Draft Sixth Power Plan Comment

To whom it may concern, I am writing to support a clean energy future for the northwest. As you know, coal power plants emit large amounts of greenhouse gases into the environment which are contributing to catastrophic abrupt climate change. Although there are large coal deposits in my home state of Montana, there are also large renewable resources. Developing renewable resources will create many local jobs and replace any jobs lost to a reduction in the coal industry. Transitioning from fossil fuels to renewables will also ensure that that planet will be a good place to live for generations to come. Finally, many recent studies have found that climate change is creating great social instability around the world leading to increased security threats. In summary I support renewable energy because: It will create many local jobs It is good for our children It is good for national security It is morally right Sincerely, Adam Switalski
