Draft Sixth Power Plan Comment

On page C-14 of the Draft Plan, the last sentence states, " This total (Aluminum DSIs) includes power provided by Chelan County PUD to Alcoa's Intalco plant". Chelan PUD does not provide power to Alcoa's Intalco plant which is located near Ferndale in Whatcom County, Washington, and the portion of the Alcoa Wenatchee plant that is operating is not a DSI because its power is not provided from the Bonneville Power Administration. I suggest you delete this sentence in its entirety, and replace it with the following: "Although the portion of Alcoa's Wenatchee aluminum smelter that is served from non-BPA sources is not technically a DSI (it is not served by BPA), that load is included in the DSI category for convenience in the draft Sixth Power Plan."
