Comment from Anderson, Lynn

The northwest is going to be growing tremendously in the next few decades, and it is extremely important that we plan for more renewable energy. I was recently in Germany for the first time, and they have power-generating wind turbines all over. This is a perfect example of what we can do to have clean, renewable energy. If a few people think that they 'look funny', I would ask them to look at the pictures I have from Germany. They are graceful and clean, and sure look a lot better than the dirty skies we would have from more coal power. We also need to have an aggressive campaign to get people and business to insulate better. We have added better windows (good for the economy, by the way), and insulation, and have cut our heating needs in half. We need to start thinking differently about our energy future, so we can have enough power but still have blue skies.
