Draft Sixth Power Plan Comment

to: Northwest Power & Conservation Council members: Thank you for drafting a plan intended to stabilize carbon emissions by meeting all our new electricity needs over the next 20 years with energy efficiency and renewable energy. This is an important first step, but more needs to be done to reduce our carbon emissions & our dependence on coal-fired power plants. There should also be incentives to reduce consumption. Electricity prices should increase as more is used above a certain level, and the increased revenue should be used to fund low income energy efficiency measures (new furnaces & insulation). Also low interest loans to small business for energy conservation measures (paid back with energy cost savings). thank you. Vicki Watson, Missoula, MT
