Draft Sixth Power Plan Comment

I commend the Council on its draft plan since it emphasizes meeting nearly all the region's power needs through both energy efficiency and renewables. This could help stabilize our greenhouse gas emissions. Unfortunately, we need to reduce those emissions over time and the draft plan does clear a path to such a reduction, nor does it start to lessen dependence on the coal plants--the source of the vast majority of our power-related greenhouse gas emissions. Such changes are need in the draft plan before it is finalized, approved, and implemented. Thank you for listening to my concerns.
