Although it may have been a bit of a financial hardship, most people across the U.S. (the wealthiest country on Earth) continued to buy gasoline for their vehicles even when the price per gallon nearly reached $5.00 -- gasoline was a near-unavoidable necessity. People across the U.S. will continue to pay incrementally higher prices for power because that, too, is a near-unavoidable necessity. Power companies have already been regularly squeezing extra profits out of the marketplace and now it's time to use some of those profits to reduce climate-damaging pollution, not just maintain the status quo. Today's undisputed science points out that it is not acceptable to maintain the pollution levels, or emission levels, that we have today. We must do better. You can do better.
