Comment from Stewart, Deborah

Dear Mark Walker, As a 30-year resident of Washington and with children and grandchildren here, I feel very strongly that we must not only prevent increased green-house gas pollution, but reduce our dependence on coal. This is the only way to hope to save our planet from the degrading of its resources and the global warming that is already affecting much of the planet. I appreciate that the plan of the NW Power and Conservation Council to conserve and bring more renewable energy sources online, but I also strongly urge you to include the phase out of coal generation in the Northwest. I know that, no matter how much I turn down my heat, winterize my home, and turn off the lights, that's not enough. I'm willing to sacrifice for the health of the planet and know that stopping power product from coal plants will help. Sincerely, Deborah Stewart, Seattle, WA
