I believe the stated clean energy targets are good and feel they should be maintained, if not improved. It appears the draft plan would only stabilize, not reduce, greenhouse gas emissions, thus not work towards goals for GHG reduction already in place in Washington, Oregon, & Montana. Clearly, the Northwest Power and Conservation Council should work towards ever increasing energy efficiency, conservation, and renewables to replace the dirty power from the coal plants. I believe the Council needs to assure the power system fulfills its climate responsibilities while responsibly meeting our energy needs.
