I believe the plan is heading in the correct direction. Conservation and energy efficiency should be the heavy lifters. I believe renewable energy generation should be brought on-line as soon as possible. Renewables have zero fuel costs, zero CO2 emmissions, and don't require imported fuel. Nuclear is low CO2 (about the same as natural gas, see: http://www.stormsmith.nl/) but uses uranium which over 90% is imported for US commercial reactors. This does not solve our energy independecce problems. If we wish to have a sustainable long term energy future we must embrace conservation, efficiency, and renewable generation. Thank you.
