We need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions as soon as possible. According to the National Center for Atmospheric Research it is too late to avoid significant warming in this century but we could blunt projected climate impacts by a significant reduction in emissions(see "Geophysical Research Letters", I'm sorry I don't know the date but its recent). We need more aggressive action.
