Draft Sixth Power Plan Comment

The proposed 6th Power Plan is good, with its strong emphasis on efficiency. It would be far better if existing coal plants were removed from the mix, because of their huge pollution issues and being fossil fuels. We will need to get rid of them. Let's do it now. An aggressive energy retrofit program on existing homes can easily eliminate any need for the coal plants. As a coastal Oregonian whose area is already being brutally impacted by the increased storm violence from global warming, I feel we need to act NOW.
